History

Western Academic Publishing roots started in Stanford, North America. Its predecessor was Western Publishing which was first created in 1975 by several university professors devoted to nurturing younger generations. The central focus having students use English language to express themselves and let their voices being heard remains the focal point of this publication. Among those professors, were Eric Solomon, Harold Kahn, and Don Coles, who later became editors of Western Academic Publishing. Over the years, Western Academic Publishing has expanded from publishing poetry to fiction and non-fiction.  

On a yearly basis, we receive thousands of submissions form about the world but our selection committee chooses the top choice to be published. Our writers range from kindergarten students to experienced young writers who have gone on to win a variety of writing accolades.
